About
Charleston Literacy provides specialized reading tutoring to those struggling to decode or sound out words. Charleston Literacy uses EBLI, a Linguistic Phonics speech-to-print approach that simplifies the reading process and reduces cognitive load. Students with dyslexia, suspected dyslexia, or persistent decoding challenges begin reading multisyllabic words and authentic text earlier, building both skill and confidence. This approach is especially helpful for families seeking an alternative to Wilson, Barton, or other structured literacy programs when progress has been slow.
