Always Better English | Jillian Miesen | Virtual Dyslexia & Literacy Specialist Always Better English is a private, virtual literacy practice specializing in evidence-based instruction for students with dyslexia and reading difficulties. Owner and lead tutor Jillian Miesen brings 30 years of experience as a certified public school educator in Missouri and over a decade of private tutoring practice to every session. Instruction is rooted in the Orton-Gillingham approach and the Barton Reading and Spelling System—a multisensory, explicit, and systematic method proven to help students build skills in decoding, spelling, and written expression. Jillian's broad expertise also includes Wilson, Lindamood-Bell, structured word inquiry, and the IEW method. She provides advanced curriculum support for gifted learners and grades 5-8 students who need continued reinforcement. A minimum of two sessions per week is required for meaningful, measurable progress.
